Dave found his passion for bluegrass as a kid in the 1970s playing guitar and banjo in bands like "Joe Proulx and the Country Memories" and "The Polish Cowboys." Although Dave has had good fortune to perform a variety of musical styles, he always returns to his roots in bluegrass music.

Mark started playing guitar at an early age and later honed his skills by playing finger styles of artists like Dan Fogelberg and James Taylor. During years of playing liturigical music, he was approached in 2002 to join a "Grass on Tap" 20 year reunion gig. He continued on and off until 2005 when Bent Grass was formed.

Mike started enjoying bluegrass music while at college in LaCrosse (1975). In 1979 Mike formed a group called "Grass on Tap." In need of a mandolin player, Mike approached Joe and the rest was history. Mike also has been involved in many types of music over the last 40 years. He even had a chance to perform at Carnegie Hall in 1994.

Joe, a one time member of "Grass on Tap" in the late 1970s, and early 1980s, along with Mike found his way back into bluegrass music when he and Mike organized a 20 year reunion concert of the once popular band in January 2002.
